Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By inviting rock to your Discord server, interacting with it in text channels, or running slash commands, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must remove the bot from your server or cease interacting with it.

2. Description of Service

rock is an entertainment-oriented artificial intelligence bot designed to operate within Discord communities. The bot processes community text input using proprietary probabilistic language synthesis to speak, reply, and generate conversational statements.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

When using rock, you agree not to:

• Attempt to overload, disrupt, exploit, or bypass the bot's infrastructure, rate limits, or permission boundaries.
• Intentionally feed or manipulate the bot to output illegal content, child exploitation material, malware, or content that directly violates Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
• Attempt to utilize rock to conduct coordinated spam, targeted harassment, or raid operations against Discord servers or users.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the bot's proprietary language generation systems.

4. Server Administrator Responsibilities

Server administrators maintain exclusive authority over rock's participation in their communities. By adding rock, administrators acknowledge that:

• They possess the authorization to add bots to their respective guild.
• They are responsible for utilizing /config to properly designate channels where rock may chat or learn, and excluding sensitive channels (e.g. moderation or administrative areas).
• They hold the capability and responsibility to purge server data using /config if they wish to delete their community's language models.

5. AI-Generated Output & Liability Disclaimer

rock generates conversational output algorithmically based on statistical linguistic relationships learned from participating Discord chat messages. As a result:

• Statements generated by rock do not reflect the opinions, beliefs, or endorsements of rock's developers.
• rock is provided strictly for entertainment purposes. rock does not provide medical, legal, financial, or factual advice.
• The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• Under no circumstances shall the operators of rock be liable for any damages, chat disputes, server moderation issues, or loss of data resulting from the operation of the bot.

6. Termination & Access Restriction

We reserve the right to block, blacklist, or terminate bot access for any server or user that engages in abusive conduct, attempts denial-of-service exploits, or violates these Terms of Service, without prior notice.

7. Modifications to Terms

These terms may be modified periodically to reflect platform updates or legal requirements. Continued use of rock after modifications have been published constitutes your agreement to the updated terms.
