Privacy Policy
1. Overview
rock is a conversational artificial intelligence bot built for Discord. rock operates by analyzing language flow and conversational patterns within Discord text channels to synthesize relevant responses. We place paramount importance on privacy, transparency, and data minimization.
Unlike conventional platforms, rock does not maintain chat archives, inbox histories, or user communication logs. All conversational modeling is performed through aggregated, disassociated mathematical token frequencies bound exclusively to servers, not individuals.
2. What Data We Process & Collect
We process only the minimum information necessary to provide conversational features and administrative controls:
-
Anonymized Linguistic Modeling Data: When messages are processed in permitted channels, words are split into anonymized phrase relationship weights stored under a server identifier (
guild_id). These linguistic nodes contain no author metadata, timestamps, or links back to your user account. -
Channel & Category Rules: Target channel IDs and category IDs configured by server managers via
/configto govern where rock may speak or learn. -
Opt-Out Exclusion Preferences: When you use
/learnto disable rock from reading your words, your unique Discord user identifier (user_id) is placed in a suppression table so your messages are permanently ignored across all participating servers. - Server Settings: Server configuration choices such as whether learned data should be automatically destroyed upon bot departure.
- Aggregated Metrics: Bot-wide statistical counters such as total tokens generated and cluster shard status.
3. What We Never Collect
- We never record, preserve, or store complete chat history logs.
- We never collect personal identifying information such as email addresses, IP addresses, real names, or billing details.
- We never monitor private channels or categories marked as excluded by server administrators.
- We never sell, rent, license, or monetize any server or user conversational data.
4. User & Server Controls (Your Rights)
rock gives complete sovereignty over conversational privacy to both individual users and server moderators:
Individual User Opt-Out:
You can prevent rock from learning from your messages at any time by running /learn enabled:False. Once disabled, rock closes its ears to your user ID globally across every server it inhabits.
Server-Wide Data Deletion:
Server administrators with Manage Server permissions can open /config, click Delete Server Data, and type confirm. This irrevocably purges every learned phrase, channel rule, and configuration record tied to that server.
Automated Departure Wipes:
Administrators can toggle Auto Delete on Leave via /config. When active, all data associated with the server is immediately eradicated the instant rock is removed.
5. Data Storage & Security
Data processed by rock is stored in secure database clusters with restricted network access. Because phrase models are deconstructed and aggregated without user attribution, stored language weights cannot be reverse-engineered to reconstruct individual user messaging profiles.
6. Third-Party Services
rock relies on Discord to transmit and receive events via the Discord API. Your use of Discord is subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. rock does not export or relay message data to external third-party neural network APIs or tracking networks.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by modifying the revision date atop this document. Continued presence or use of rock following any adjustments constitutes acceptance of those revisions.
